Actor Vivek Oberoi‘s home in Mumbai raided by the Bengaluru Police on Thursday, in connection with a drugs case allegedly involving his brother-in-law Aditya Alva, as reported by NDTV. Aditya Alva is the son of former Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva, and reportedly, he’s accused in the ‘Sandalwood drugs case’ in Kannada film industry.
As per Bengaluru police, Aditya Alva is absconding and they searched Vivek Oberoi‘s house after the police got information that Alva was there.
NDTV quoted Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Bengaluru police saying, “Aditya Alva is absconding. Vivek Oberoi is his relative and we got some information that Alva is there. So we wanted to check. So a court warrant was obtained and Crime Branch team has gone to his house in Mumbai.”
As per NDTV reports, Aditya Alva has been missing since the police launched action in the case about drugs being allegedly supplied to singers and actors in the Kannada film industry also called, ‘Sandalwood’.
