Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14 June 2020. The young talented actor’s tragic death has left the entire nation numb. His family, fans, friends have been constantly asking for the justice. Currently, the CBI, ED and NCB has been probing the case of late actor. Many celebs came in support for a detailed investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput case and actor Sharad Malhotra was also one of them.
Speaking about the same, Sharad Malhotra asserted that late actor’s case can’t be “brushed under the carpet”. He said that he wants Sushant‘s family to get justice and added, “I want them to get closure. We all want to know what happened to the guy who was full of life. This can’t be brushed under the carpet, the nation needs answers.”
After Sushant Singh Rajput‘s tragic demise there were lots of theories and controversies going on, until the Supreme Court granted the CBI probe in the case, very few celebs stood up for him. Sharad Malhotra said as a fraternity it was crushing to see so few people standing up for justice for SSR.
He said, “It was very disturbing and saddening to see that a very few people spoke about justice for Sushant. Even though I did not want to say anything about Sushant, when someone asked me, I would freely express my views and thoughts and emotions about him. So, I agree that initially, people did not want to comment, but when asked then they should have been vocal about it because we all need to know what exactly happened. I also want to mention that if you are standing up for him now, it should be with good intention and not with some hidden motive.”
After Sushant‘s death, there were report that the actor took his life as he was suffering from depression. Talking about the same, Sharad, who once gone through depression himself, says it is not something that happens overnight. “It’s very easy to pass judgment or a remark that he was suffering from depression, it’s easier said than done. Only he knew what he went through. And we need to understand that depression doesn’t happen overnight, it’s like a series of events. It kind of accumulates and has a reaction. Until we know what exactly happened to him let’s not say anything and everything wrong about him.”
