Veteran Bollywood actor Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jaffrey Aka Jagdeep passed away on Wednesday at his residence in Mumbai due to age related health issues. Actor-comedian Jagdeep best known for his role as Soorma Bhopali in film Sholay.
Today, Jagdeep‘s son-actor Jaaved Jaaferi and Naved Jaffrey spotted at the funeral in Mumbai. Bollywood actor-comedian Johnny Lever also arrived at the funeral of veteran actor to pay his last tribute. Jagdeep will be laid to rest at a cemetery in south Mumbai today on Thursday.

Jagdeep has acted in around 400 films. Veteran actor also played memorable roles in films Purana Mandir and Andaz Apna Apna.
He turned director from his film Soorma Bhopali in 1988, which made into his own character from film Sholay. Jaffrey has started his career as a child artiste in B. R. Chopra‘s Afsana, after which he did several films as child artist like Ab Dilli Door Nahin, K. A. Abbas‘s Munna, Guru Dutt‘s Aar Paar, Bimal Roy‘s Do Bigha Zamin and AVM‘s Hum Panchi Ek Dal Ke.
