Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh is currently in news over her link in drug case. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been investigating drug angle in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case. After arresting Rhea Chakraborty and others in drugs case, the NCB issued summons to several Bollywood actress including Rakul Preet Singh. On Friday, The actress was interrogated in drug case by NCB.

As per a IANS report, Rakul approached the Delhi HC seeking an interim director to the Centre, Press Council of India and the News Broadcasters Association to make sure that the media of the country does not cover anything related to her in connection to her with the Rhea Chakraborty drug case. The application filed by the actress seeks directions until the NCB does not complete its investigation and file an appropriate report before the court.
The petition was filed by Rakul Preet via her advocates that claimed that the actress who has been shooting for a film in Hyderabad was shocked to see the reports about her hitting headlines on the evening of September 23. The plea filed by the actress read, “…the Petitioner had received no such summons from the NCB at either of her Hyderabad or Mumbai addresses and accordingly she remained in Hyderabad. The Petitioner’s father, Col. Kulvinder Singh (Retd), decided to take the morning flight on 24.9.2020 to Mumbai from Hyderabad to ascertain the truth of such reports.”
The plea further read, “…however, from the evening of 23.9.2020 itself, the media started running fake news to the effect that the Petitioner, who was in Hyderabad, had supposedly reached Mumbai on the evening of 23.9.2020 for the NCB investigation.”
Meanwhile, the petition filed by Rakul Preet Singh is likely to come up for hearing in the coming week.
