Actress Payal Ghosh has recently accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap over sexual assualt, after which she approached Versova Police, Mumbai to file a case against the filmmaker. Yesterday, Anurag Kashyap was questioned for almost 8 hours at the Versova Police station regarding the FIR lodged against him by Payal Ghosh.
Today, Anurag Kashyap‘s lawyer Priyanka Khimani has released an official statement which stated that the director has provided evidence of him being out of the country when the incident took place. In the statement released by Kashyap‘s lawyer stated that the filmmaker has denied the #MeToo allegations levelled against him. The statement further states that the filmmaker also provided evidence to the police officials and is set to take action against Payal Ghosh‘s claims.
After the statement of Anurag‘s lawyer, actress Payal Ghosh reacted on it. The actress took his Twitter handle and alleges that Anurag Kashyap has lied in his statement before the police. She also demanded a lie detector test to be conducted.
She tweeted, “Mr. Kashyap has lied bfr police in his statement..my Lawyer,i s moving an application 2conduct Narco Analysis, Lie Detector & Polygraph Test of Mr. kashyap 2find out d truth Today application wl be filed to d police station, 4 d interest of Justice @narendramodi @AmitShah #BetiBachao.”
