The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has recently arrested Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and others in connection with drugs case linked to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Soon after her arrest, The actress and other accused filed for bail but reportedly, their bail plea got rejected by the court.
Meanwhile, she has made some shocking revelations during her interrogation by NCB, that have sparked a storm in Bollywood industry. As per reports, Rhea has confessed Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, designer Simone Khambatta name in drug case.
Now, as per reports in Zee News, apart from actress Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and designer Simone Khambatta, Rhea has also confessed filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra and Sushant‘s friend and former manager Rohini Iyer‘s name in drug case.
While these are allegations made by Rhea, no reaction has been recorded from the ones named above. However, filmmaker Mukesh Chabbra has broken his silence and responded to Rhea Chakraborty‘s allegations. Talking to Bollywood Hungama, the filmmaker refuses any link with drugs and stated that he will take legal action against Rhea.
He quoted saying, “She is just naming any and every one randomly. Maybe she thinks it will help her case. But this is not fair. I’ve nothing to do with drugs of any kind. I don’t even smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol, so where’s the question of consuming hard drugs?”
He further added, “She’s taking revenge on me for not speaking up in my defence. I have kept quiet. I decided that is the best way to let the current furore die down. But now by naming me (for consuming drugs) Rhea has seriously compromised my name. I need to clear my reputation.”
Speaking about taking legal action, Mukesh said, “We are definitely taking legal action against Rhea. We’re now looking at what remedial legal action is most appropriate. But I’d sincerely advise Rhea to not throw around names to deflect attention from herself. It won’t help her. I can’t speak for others. But my name has been dragged into this purely with malicious intent.”
