Veteran Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan, who was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on June 20 after she complained of breathing issues, passed away today. As per several reports, The last rites of Saroj Khan will be performed at Malvani in Malad, Mumbai today.
Saroj Khan had severe diabetes and related illness. She had tested negative for coronavirus. Saroj was 71. She died due to a cardiac arrest in the ICU of Guru Nanak Hospital where she was admitted on June 20 after she complained of breathing issues. The choreographer is survived by her husband B.
Saroj was one of the most popular choreographers in India. She has choreographed several Bollywood hit songs such as. ‘Hum Ko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar‘, ‘Dhak Dhak Karne Laga‘, ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai‘ and many more. Her recent choreographed song was “Tabaah Ho Gaye” from movie Kalank featuring Madhuri Dixit. She has choreographed more than 2000 songs. Saroj Ji also known as “The Mother of Dance/Choreography in India”.
