Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the most popular shows of Indian Television. It stars Harshad Chopda & Pranali Rathod in lead. The duo is winning everyone’s hearts with their sizzling chemistry as Abhimanyu and Akshara on screen. While fans are shipping Abhira, many wanting to see Harshad-Pranali as couple in real life too. And now, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star Harshad Chopda reacted to his singlehood status & his bond with Pranali
In a recent chat with Etimes, Harshad stated that he doesn’t have time for love as of now and wants to concentrate on his work. Talking about his bond with Pranali, Harshad mentioned that nothing will happen just because fans want it. He quoted saying, “People wanting to see Pranali and me together in real life will not help. Unki wanting se kuchh hoga nahi. I am absolutely single and want to concentrate on my work. Had I had the time to concentrate on other stuff, I would have not been single (laughs).”
Talking about why he’s not much active on social media, He said, “I am actually getting no time for that. Mentally and physically both I am so tired that I hardly get any time to be active on the social media front. Now I feel slightly settled in the show. And when I will soon enter the relaxed waala zone probably then you will get to see me more active on that front.”

Talking about entering an already hit show with a popular cast. Harshad says he was always confident that he is going to enter a new show even though it was taking a leap. Talking about his ‘current’ hit stint in the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Harshad says, “I knew what I was getting into, I knew what I had shot for but then at the end of the day, I wanted my work to do the talking because my saying anything would have been stupid. When I had shot for the leap of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai I was slightly nervous about the viewers’ reaction because we all had shot for a good show but then we were living in a bubble wherein we had liked the work, but the viewers’ verdict was still awaited.”
He adds, “From day one, in all fairness, it was promised to me that I will not be entering an already existing show. The team delivered actually what they had promised. And I am sure even after I leave they will be able to create the same magic.”
If we see work profile of Harshad Chopda, the Left Right Left actor hasn’t been a part of shows which last for many years, unlike Yeh Rishta Kya Kehalata Hai. So speaking about if he will do this show for many years and age on screen? the actor replied, “Well, there are a few things mentioned in my contract which I can not talk about related to this. But otherwise, jab tak maza aayega toh kyun nahi? Till the time makers are happy making it, I am happy doing it – why not!”
