Actor Ankit Gupta, who’s currently seen in Colors TV show Udaariyaan, has been grabbing lot of attention with his portrayal of Fateh in the show. The show also stars Priyanka Choudhary and Isha Malviya in pivotal roles, who’s playing the role of Tejo and Jasmine respectively. Udaariyaan is produced by popular ITV couple Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta under their production banner Dreamiyata Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. & Devirosh Films.
In a recent interaction with TellyGlam, actor Ankit Gupta talked about his character Fateh and also revealed about his favorite character from the show. He also opened up on shows’ TRPs and more. Talking about his Favourite character from the show, Ankit said, “Everyone loves their own characters. But i really love Tejo‘s character,” revealing the reason, he added, “She is very strong, independent and may be i would love to play Tejo’s character.”
The actor further talked about his character Fateh, the handsome hunk said, “I really love playing Fateh because Fateh has lot of layering and now it has become unpredictable. You don’t know how he will react, what he will say to Tejo, Jasmine ko kese manayega ya jasmine se kya bolege. I am enjoying, everyday there is new layer to the character, so it’s fun doing the role.”
He further added, “It’s a very difficult character and it’s a emotional challenge for me. Everyday i come to the set and i read my scene and i think ‘Ab Kya?’. Now another layer now how do i do this. So that’s why i prefer doing method acting. But method was getting into my head. It was actually interfering with emotional health, so i had to stop it. But it is very difficult.”
Ankit further mentioned that Fateh is cheating on his wife but he’s not a negative person it’s just due to some circumstances. The actor says Fateh doesn’t wont to hurt his wife as he respects her a lot, on the other hand he can’t live without Jasmine whom he loves a lot.
The ongoing track of the show revolves around Fateh accepting Jasmine’s apology and dating her. Fateh is in a dilemma as he is confused between Tejo (his wife) and Jasmine. On the other hand, Tejo is unaware of Fateh’s feelings for Jasmine and she thinks that he has moved on in his life.
