Star Bharat comedy show ‘Gangs of Filmistaan‘, starring comedian-actor Sunil Grover, Sugandha Mishra, Sanket Bhosale, Paritosh Tripathi and Siddharth Sagar, has wrapped up. The show, revolves around Bhindi Bhai who is a don who gives his house on rent but instead of charging money as rent he asks them to entertain him.
However, it looks like the comedy show could not find a connect with audiences. Gangs of Filmistaan, started airing on August 31 and has been pulled off on October 24.
In an interaction with the Times Of India, show’s Producer Preeti Simoes told the portal, “We had Sunil Grover‘s dates for only this time period. We had good actors on the show and it was entertaining. The show was being telecast on a prime time slot on weekdays and competing with social dramas as well as the IPL on other channels, so all that also has to be taken into consideration. We are happy that the show entertained viewers and made them laugh during these tough times of the pandemic. It gave everyone a reason to laugh.”
