Keeping negativity at bay is a practice that Shehnaaz says she has followed after she came out of the Bigg Boss 13 house. She says, “Sabka time aata hai. I strongly believe in the saying that hard work always pays off. All I focus on is improving my skills. I don’t believe in comparing myself with anyone else, as that leads to hatred and jealousy. I guess that attitude has helped me sail through difficult times. Main apni mehnat karti rahoongi, kyunki mehnat karne wale ki kabhi haar nahi hoti.”
In entertainment industry, along with appreciation, there are also brickbats that come along. Talking about how does she deals with her detractors and negativity, Shehnaaz says, “It’s not easy to look away from negativity, but I try to not focus on it. I still wish well for my detractors. Those who love you will not bother about these naysayers, but will only talk about your work. What they don’t realise is that I have worked hard to reach where I am today. I have faced a lot of hardships. Of course, there is no denying that I, too, have made mistakes, intentionally and unintentionally, but the good part is that now I know the difference between good and bad.”
