Rahul Krishna Vaidya (RKV) is an popular Indian singer and music composer. He is known for participating in the singing reality show Indian Idol 1 where he was emerged out as the second runner-up. He is best known for his participation in India’s Biggest controversial reality TV show Bigg Boss 14.

Vaidya is an engineer with the Maharashtra State Electricity Board. His mother name is Geeta Vaidya and he has one sister (elder) named Shruti Vaidya. The singer grew up in Mumbai, where he studied music under Himanshu Manocha and participated in various child talent competitions. He did his schooling from Hansraj Morarji Public School, Mumbai. Rahul did his college studies from Mithibai college in Mumbai.

Personal life

The singer is dating popular Indian model and actress, Disha Parmar. He proposed Disha for marriage on ITV Reality Show Bigg Boss 14.

Rahul Vaidya’s Career and Achievements

RKV was the second runner of Indian Idol season 1. He released his debut album Tera Intezar after eight months of Indian Idol. Popular music composer duo Sajid–Wajid had composed the music for his debut album. Rahul also sang a duet “Hello Madam, I am your Adam“, with fellow Indian Idol runner-up Prajakta Shukre, and “God Promise Dil Dola” with Shreya Ghoshal in the Bollywood film Shaadi No. 1. Rahul has also sung the title song of TV show Ek Ladki Anjaani Si.

He has worked as Radio Jockey and hosted TV reality show “Jjhoom India” which aired on Sahara in 2007. Rahul was the co-host of the dance show “Aajaa Mahi Vay” with Vinit Singh. He was a playback singer in several Bollywood films like Shaadi No. 1, Jigyasa, Hot Money, and Krazzy 4.

He won the title of Star plus singing reality show Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar. Rahul was a successful contestant of the Star plus singing reality show Music Ka Maha Muqqabla in the Team Shankar‘s Rockstars. His team won the contest beating Shaan‘s Strikers in the finale. Rahul has won many awards for singing.

In 2013, Rahul Vaidya sung “Be Intehaan” (Unplugged) from film Race 2. On the occasion of Independence Day, he released a new song, ‘Vande Mataram‘. In 2020, The singer had entered in the India’s biggest controversial reality show Bigg Boss 14. He got lot of love and support from the audience for his gameplay. Rahul made lot of headlines for his fights with co-contestant Rubina Dilaik and his friendship with fellow contestant Aly Goni was also in news.
