Harshad Chopda–Pranali Rathod starrer Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been keeping the viewers hooked with its interesting twists and turns. The current track of the show revolves around Akshara trying her best to search Dr Kunal Khera for the treatment of Abhimanyu as only he can treat Abhi’s nerve damage. Uttaran fame Mrunal Jain all set to return on television screen after 5 years with Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. In an interaction with ETimes TV, Mrunal spoke about his entry in YRKKH and said, “It is a fantastic opportunity for me to be part of the longest running show. I have never played a doctor in my career and I’m already talking to my cousins who are doctors to understand the character.”
When he was asked why he chose to do Yeh Rishta, the handsome hunk replied, “I wanted to start working again. The opportunity knocked my door suddenly and I didn’t have to give a second thought about this show. It is better to be a part of the show that have loyal audience then doing a show which doesn’t assure any eyeballs.”

Mrunal play the doctor who will help Abhimanyu (Harshad Chopda) cure his hand injury. He was last in the Bollywood film Suryavanshi with Akshay Kumar. Talking about it, he said, “It was a negative role and I am glad I have got into Bollywood film. But, currently my focus is on playing this new role in Yeh Rishta. I can’t divulge more but am looking forward to shooting tomorrow on the sets.”
