Colors TV popular show Udaariyaan has been keeping the viewers hooked with it’s interesting twists and turns. The current track of Ankit Gupta-Priyanka Chahar Choudhary starrer show ‘Udaariyaan‘ revolves around Fateh marrying mentally unstable Tejo but Gurpreet refuses to accept their marriage and calls it ‘Illegal’. Priyanka Choudhary who is playing the mentally unstable character has been getting immense love from viewers.
In a recent interaction with India Forums, Priyanka aka Tejo spoke about playing mentally challenge person and also talked about fans feedback to his portrayal. When she was asked how she prepares herself to play the mentally unstable Tejo, she said, “Well, generally, I’m an actress who doesn’t really like to prepare for my character a lot. I believe in performing on the spot, according to situations and the briefs given by the Director.
She continues, “However, for this character, I did a little homework. I watched a few films to take inspiration as I wanted to do justice to the character and the responsibility given to me. I watched projects like Sadma, Khilona, Ranjha Ranjha Kar Gai Mai along with a few Pakistani dramas to have an idea about such characters.”

Talking about the viewers feedback on the performance, the actress said, “Everybody loved my performance, right from my crew to my fans. Everyone has been giving heartwarming responses which has left me satisfied and elated.”
She further added, “It was definitely challenging as an actress to get into the skin of a mentally unstable Tejo. I wanted the body language to not be over the top and I worked hard to keep it as real as possible. I’m afraid if the same characteristic would affect me when Tejo gets mentally sound in the show (laughs).”
Reacting to the current track, Priyanka said, “I remember Bharti ma’am promising me an out-of-the-box character while we were shooting in London. I kept asking her for details but she denied telling me anything more. Just before a couple of days of the shoot, she informed me about the mentally unstable character and I was really thrilled as well nervous to do the same.”
Udaariyaan, produced by Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta under their production banner Dreamiyata Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. & Devirosh Films. The show stars Isha Malviya, Chetna Singh, Virsa Singh Riar, Abhishek Kumar, Ram Aujla, Rashmeet Kaur Sethi, Abhiraaj Chawla & others.
