Previous month, it was reported that producers of Shehnaaz Gill‘s Punjabi film Honsla Rakh, were waiting for the actress to resume the shoot for a promotional song. Shehnaaz, who is grieving the loss of her close friend Sidharth Shukla, has been away from social media or any public appearances since late actor’s final rites. The hugely popular TV actor and Bigg Boss 13 winner passed away due to heart attack on September 2. Since then, Shehnaaz Gill is away from the outside world.
This left the makers of film Honsla Rakh wondering whether Shehnaaz will shoot for the song. The makers had originally planned to shoot a promotional song on September 15, but postponed the schedule, as Shehnaaz was in no position to come back on the set. She didn’t even promote the trailer of the film, which was released recently.
Now, as per reports in the Times Of India, the producers have finally managed to convince Shehnaaz to shoot the song with them. Reportedly, the actress will be shooting with the team on October 7.
Producer Diljit Thind told the portal, “I was constantly in touch with Shehnaaz’s team and they regularly updated us about her. She is a thorough professional and I am glad that she has agreed to shoot the promotional song with us. We will be shooting either in the UK or India depending on her visa.”
Speaking about Shehnaaz’s mental state, Thind says, “She has been through a very difficult phase and is still grieving the loss. It must have taken a lot of courage for her to agree to fulfill her professional commitment. She is like family and that’s the reason we don’t wish to impose anything on her. I just want her to get back to her normal work schedule for her own sanity.”
The film Honsla Rakh will hit the big screens on 15th October, 2021. This is the first time Shehnaaz Gill is working with Diljit Dosanjh and it’s also her debut film as lead. The film also stars actress Sonam Bajwa and child artists Shinda Grewal in lead. Fans are super excited for the film and eagerly waiting for it’s release.
Honsla Rakh is produced by Daljit Thind and Pawan Gill along with Dosanjh himself. It is directed by Amarjit Singh Saron and written by Rakesh Dhawan. The director of photography (DOP) is Baljit Singh Deo. The film is shot in Vancouver, Canada.
