Singer-actress Shehnaaz Gill, who rose to fame with her stint in controversial reality show Bigg Boss 13, enjoys massive fan following on social media. She enjoys immense popularity and her fans keeps trending her on various social media platforms. However, the Honsla Rakh actress doesn’t wish to have such kind of stardom. Shehnaaz recently spoke about her massive fan following and said that she doesn’t want to be a social media star.
Speaking about the same, the actress told Connect FM Canada, “I don’t think trending on Twitter is cool. I appreciate my fans who do so much for me, but till when they will do it? If I will stop working, they will stop too.”
Shehnaaz further shared how she feels that being famous and the trend of people making Instagram reels on her is ‘temporary’. Elaborating her views, Shehnaaz gave the example of celebs like Pankaj Tripathi, Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The actress said, “It is one thing to be famous and be a social media star and another thing to be an artist. I want to be an artist. I don’t want to be a social influencer but I want to be someone who can inspire people.”

She wants to show people her acting and does not want to trend every day. Instead, the actress wants to be an artist where people remember her for her work. Shehnaaz wants to be a part of family movies and perform in roles where her audience finds her relatable. The actress feels that there is a lot of work to be done from her end if she wants to achieve that. She said, “I have to attend a lot of acting workshops if I have to be an actor. I really need to practice a lot.”
On project front, Shehnaaz Gill last seen in Punjabi film Honsla Rakh alongside co-star Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa. Recently, she announced her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan starrer ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan‘. Directed by Farhad Samji.
Apart from this, She also announced her another Bollywood film titled ‘100%‘ where she will share screen with John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh and Nora Fatehi. Directed by Sajid Khan, the film will release in theatres next year on Diwali.
