Anupamaa tv serial got held up for few months due to the pandemic in the world. After three months of lockdown new promos were launched. These promos gained viewers attention as they showed lead actress Rupali Ganguly aka Anupamaa going for an interview. Film actor Anu Kapoor was also seen as part of this promo.
Initial Promos
Shivangi Joshi from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was also seen in one of the initial promos. Shivangi explained the importance of respecting and loving a housewife who smiles and fulfills her families wishes. Rupali requested the viewers to watch Anupama’s story everyday at 10 PM only on Star Plus.
Anupamaa tv serial presently has completed 360 episodes. In the beginning of Anupamaa serial story, Anupamaa was treated badly by her in-laws and children. Everyone in the family took her for granted. They also blamed her for every bad-happening.
Especially Anupamaa’s husband Vanraj Shah (Sudhanshu Pandey) used to shout on her badly even when she was not at fault. Her mother-in-law Leela Shah played by Alpana Buch threw all household responsibilities on her shoulders and never offered her any help. Even Anupamaa’s children (Paritosh and Pakhi) always took her for granted and never hesitated to insult her even in front of outsiders or guests.
Anupamaa tv serial also consist of many positive cast. These include Anupamaa’s son Samar (Paras Kalnawat), father-in-law Hasmukh Shah (Arvind Vaidya), brother-in-law Sanjay Patel (Paresh Bhatt), mother Kanta Joshi (Madhavi Gogate), brother Bhavesh (Mehul Nishar), niece Meenali (Stuti Zakarde), daughter-in-law Kinjal (Nidhi Shah), Nandini (Anagha Bhosale/Samar’s love ineterest). They always respected Anupamaa and even support her now.
In mid episodes, Nidhi Shah, Tasneem Sheikh and Shekhar Shukla and some more actors made an entry. Tasneem played the role of Kinjal’s mother Rakhi Dave and a business-woman. To stop Kinjal from marrying Paritosh (Anupamaa’s elder son) and in a middle-class family, she played many bad tricks with shah family. She also exposed Kavya (Madalsa Sharma/Vanraj’s colleague) and Vanraj’s 8-years affair shocking the Shah’s.
Anupamaa serial story took a new turn. Kinjal and Paritosh got married by running away. But Rakhi Dave is still trying to separate them. Kinjal, Samar, Nandani and Anupamaa’s father-in-law slowly helped Anupamaa to take a stand for herself. After this shah family also got to know about Samar and Nandini’s love. Due to Nandini being older than Samar Vanraj and his mother refused for this alliance. Anupamaa on Samar’s birthday convinced Vanraj’s mother and made Samar and Nandini happy.
Anupamaa’s cast suddenly had to change their shooting location to Goa in second last week of April 2021 due to shooting restrictions. Here Apurva Agnihotri made an entry with the role of Dr. Advait Khanna. Here Dr. Advait did Anupamaa’s cancer treatment and Kavya used this opportunity to make Vanraj divorce Anupamaa. She also got successful and married Vanraj by divorcing her husband Anirudh (Rushad Rana). Before Kavya and Vanraj’s marriage, Samar-Nandini’s engagement broke as Vanraj and his mother got angry after knowing about Nandini’s infertility.
Anupamaa’s cast returned to their actual shooting location. In the story father-in-law didn’t let Anupamaa leave the house and divided Shah house between Vanraj, Anupamaa and Dolly (Ekta Saraiya). Kavya’s married life started and she struggled to make her place in her in-laws house as Anupamaa became important for everyone. She and Rakhi Dave played many tricks to trouble Anupamaa and make her leave the shah family and house.
Presently, Kavya has made a small place in shah family but lost her job. Kinjal and Vanraj too lost their jobs. Now Anupamaa and Vanraj are working in Hasmukh’s factory as they have opened a dance academy and café for earning. Paritosh is living in Rakhi Dave’s penthouse, while Kinjal chose to live with the Shah’s. Recently Kinjal’s love and respect for Anupamaa grew when she stood for her and against her boss Dholakia’s harassment.
Then another big twist came when factory’s property tax of 20,00,000 to be paid within a month came as a huge shock to the shahs. Here Anupamaa tried to help by taking loan but became a victim to a loan fraud. Vanraj, Kavya, Paritosh and her mother-in-law called her responsible for this and asked her to arrange money herself to clear the loan. Rakhi Dave took the opportunity to insult the shah’s and helped Anupamaa with money in exchange of her share in shah house.
Kinjal saved shah’s from Rakhi Dave’s trick. After this the biggest twist of the show came and Gaurav Khanna made an entry as Anupamaa and Devika’s (Jasveer Kaur) college friend Anuj Kapadia. He also shown in the story as the buyer of Hasmukh’s factory and is in love with Anupamaa since college days. Recently, we also watched how Nandini’s former boyfriend Rohan (Varun Sharma) made an entry and is trying to bring misunderstandings between Samar and Nandini.
