Splitsvilla‘s fame Naina Singh who had entered the India’s biggest reality show as wild-card contestant, has recently been evicted from the Bigg Boss 14 house. Now, the Kumkum Bhagya actress opened up about the ‘sympathy card’ that most contestants use to earn votes during their journey in the show.
While some viewers supported Shardul Pandit, other blamed him for playing ‘sympathy card’ to gain more votes over Naina Singh, which led her exit from the show. Now, speaking about the same Naina said she’s not one of those who uses the sympathy card to get votes from the show’s fans.
The actress quoted saying, “I didn’t want to be a charity case. I didn’t want to play the sympathy card; that’s just not my personality. Maybe if I played the sympathy card, I’d probably still be in there- but that’s just not who I am as a person. There’s a lot of people in the house that are playing the sympathy card, and well, it’s working well for them.”
Naina further added, “I’m not saying that Shardul in any way played a sympathy card, but if the show featured his struggle story, they should have featured mine too.”
Naina, who has faced a tough phase during the initial days of her career with financial struggles, says, “I didn’t put my struggles on display because people are just going to see what’s on the surface, and not see the ‘struggle’ part. Because most people’s thought process doesn’t go beyond that. And that’s okay.”
