Star Plus’ show Anupamaa is creating lot of buzz nowadays. The show is touching new heights of success and getting immense love from viewers. The show stars Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma and Gaurav Khanna in pivotal roles. The current track of the show revolves around Kayva organizing new year party and she invites Anupama, Anuj and Malvika at Shah house. Malvika gets restless hearing about New Years party & refuses to attend.
The latest episode saw Anupama convincing Malvika to attend New Year party but she reveals that she doesn’t celebrates new year. Anuj, who knows about Malvika’s horrible past, tells Anupama to go to party alone and he decides to stay with Mukku at home.
Later, Anupamaa plays a game with Malvika and she defeats her. Malvika asks Anupama what she wants as a winning prize, Anu tells her to attend party. Malvika gets stressed thinking about her past then Anupama reveals about her horrible past life to her. She tells her the worst incident that happened on her 25th wedding anniversary when she learned about Vanraj & Kavya’s affair. Anu tells Malvika to not remember the old bad memories and move on in life. Malvika understands Anupama’s and she decides to attend the New Year party.

Just before party, Malvika sees a man hitting his wife on street and vent into deep shock. Malvika gets traumatized as she starts recalling her horror past. Anuj rushes to give her medicine. Anupama questions Anuj about Mukku’s bad mental state and comes to know about Malvika being in depression and is undergoing treatment.
Anuj reveals to Anupama about Malvika’s horror past where she was mentally and physically abused by her ex-husband. Anuj feels himself guilty for marrying her sister to such a horrible man, who did not care about her wife’s consent and tortured her. He says Malvika is the victim of marital r*pe and domestic violence. Anupama then decides to not let Malvika suffer anymore.
The show is produced by Rajan Shahi and his mother Deepa Shahi under their banner Shahi Productions Pvt Ltd. The show is based on Star Jalsha’s Bengali series Sreemoyee. There’s also a Marathi version of the show which runs on Star Pravah titled Aai Kuthe Kai Karte. The show also stars actors like Alpana Buch, Arvind Vaidya, Paras Kalnawat, Aashish Mehrotra, Muskan Bamne, Shekhar Shukla, Nidhi Shah, Anagha Bhosale and Tassnim Sheikh.
