Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn announces the new release date of his upcoming film Maidaan. The film is postponed till Independence day week 2021. It’s been long time, Film and TV shoots are stalled due to coronavirus pandemic. Theatres are closed and film release dates are getting postponed due to this deadly virus.
There are several films which got postponed due to Covid-19 or released on OTT platforms amid lockdown.
Now, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has announced the new release date of his upcoming film Maidaan. The sports drama film, earlier scheduled to release on December 11, 2020. Now, It is postponed till Independence Day week in 2021 owing to Covid-19 crisis. The film will now release on August 13, 2021.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Ajay shared the new release date along with poster of the film. He wrote, “2021 Independence week. An untold story that will make every Indian proud. 13th August mark the date. #Maidaan2021.”

The film is directed by Amit Ravindrenath Sharma and produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla. Along with Ajay Devgn it also stars Priyamani in lead role. Now, the film will hit the Big screens on August 13, 2021.
