Former Bigg Boss contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who entered the BB 14 house as Eijaz Khan‘s proxy, has revealed on the show that she has a boyfriend. All this happened when Rakhi Sawant tried to play cupid between her and Rahul.
Devoleena made lot of headlines on the show when she said that she is planning to marry soon. Many people were even surprised when the news of her getting married in 2021 came.
Now, in an recent interaction with BollywoodLife, Devoleena spoke about the same. The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actress quoted saying, “I don’t know who spread the word that I said 2021. Yes, marriage has been on our minds since some time. We may marry in 2022. I feel marriage is a thing of destiny. The nuptials will happen only when God decides.”
Speaking about her boyfriend, Devoleena said, “He is not from the entertainment industry. He is a very simple person whose priorities in life are very sorted. I am also a very simple girl who leads a normal life.”
Devo further talked about her childhood, which she had described rather emotionally on the show. The actress quoted, “To be honest, I do not wish to dwell much on that phase of my life. I lost my father quite early. My mom battled her illness to raise three kids. She made sure that all of us got a decent school and college education. We lost one of our siblings. Life for a widowed woman in a small city of Assam was not easy. When Rakhi Sawant spoke of her struggle, I could identify with it. Despite her illness, my mom worked till retirement age.”
She added, “Life might be little different for a widowed woman in metro cities, but it is a struggle in small-town India. Society was quite regressive at that time when I was a kid. My life has been taught me patience and resilience but yes, I do have anger issues. Rakhi Sawant has faced hardships and is a mature person. There is no fakeness in her but showmanship.”
