Imlie actress Sumbul Touqeer Khan has been making lot of buzz ever since entered Bigg Boss 16 house due to her bond with co-contestant Shalin Bhanot. Many people felt that Sumbul had feelings for Shalin as housemates were constantly talking about her closeness with Shalin. This created Sumbul’s wrong image in front of viewers which worried her father Touqeer Khan.
After which, Sumbul Touqeer’s father appeared on the last ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode and addressed the issue and made some revelations for the actress. Her fans and Bigg Boss viewers was waiting Sumbul to take a strong action after learning the truth but she went back to Shalin and Tina.
Now, in an interaction with India Forums, Sumbul’s father Touqeer Khan was asked that fans and viewers wanted to see Sumbul reacting strongly post his advice but that didn’t happen. Talking about it, he said, “If Sumbul would react according to everyone else’s wish, she would be just an ordinary girl which she is not. She is special. She is intelligent and soft-hearted.”

Touqeer Khan added, “She has called Shalin and Tina her sweethearts and how would it look like if she would suddenly change her behavior towards them? Wouldn’t it look like she got influenced too quickly? If it was for anyone else, they would’ve taken advantage of the situation and played the sympathy card and would’ve made Shalin- Tina the biggest villains, but what did Sumbul do? She went to them and apologized. She is getting to understand things and will surely act accordingly. I’m proud of the way she handled the situation.”
After Sumbul’s father appeared on weekend ka vaar episode and told her the truth what is happening behind her, many people felt that the Imlie actress is being favored and a special preference is given to her. Reacting to it, he said, “Honestly, I want to put it across that the makers didn’t call me. It was I, who approached the makers and requested them to make me speak to her so that she can understand about what’s going around in the house behind the back. I feel the channel is unbiased and I would hereby want to appreciate the platform to give so much importance to a young girls’ dignity. They could have randomly planned a normal conversation over the call, but they made sure to be transparent.”

Bigg Boss 16 airs Monday to Friday 10 PM and Saturday-Sunday 9.30 PM.
