Shefali Jariwala on Shehnaaz Gill being mobbed by media at Sidharth Shukla’s funeral; “I was angry to see the way people hounded her, My heart was breaking to watch that”

Popular Indian TV actor and Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla left for his heavenly abode on 2 September 2021. His untimely demise has left everyone saddened. Jariwala also shared her views on Shehnaaz being mobbed and hounded by photographers at Sidharth Shukla‘s funeral.

In a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, Shefali stated that she was very angry to see how people were hounding the late actor’s family and his close friend Shehnaaz. The actress said, “I was so angry to see the way people hounded her. You have to look at her condition. My heart was breaking to watch that. It was not right.”

She continues, “Shehnaaz and his [Sidharth’s] mother and sisters are grieving, you have to give them the space and privacy to do so. And this is basic empathy, where is the compassion? I understand ratings and all but not at this cost.”

The actress further said that Sidharth was a very private person and to see this circus around his death was difficult to process. She quoted, “It was very disturbing, and knowing Sidharth who was a very private person and so is his family. His mother is very private; making such a spectacle of his passing was very disturbing for me to see. It is not something that Sidharth would have wanted. At the funeral it was a circus.”

Shefali, who was with Shehnaaz and Sidharth in Bigg Boss 13 house, says that she is still in disbelief and struggling to come to terms with his sad demise. The actress quoted, “It’s been very difficult for me, the passing of a friend and something that we did not expect at all. It has been a shocker and it still has not sunk in actually.”

Sidharth‘s last public appearance was on Karan Johar hosted show Bigg Boss OTT & Colors’ dance reality show Dance Deewane 3 with close friend Shehnaaz Gill. His last project was the web series – Broken But Beautiful 3.
