Actress Zaira Wasim slammed by netizens for using Religious verse to justify Locust Attacks. Amid these coronavirus Pandemic, one more problem has come out in several parts of the country in the form of locust attack. In between all this, actress Zaira Wasim tweeted about Locust Attack. She used a verse from the holy Quran as a reference to ‘locust attack’ and related it to people’s arrogance.

Her tweet did not go well with netizens and they slammed her brutally for justifying the locust attacks. On 27 May, 2020, Zaira tweeted, “So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs and blood: Signs openly self explained: but they were steeped in arrogance- a people given to sin -Qur’an 7:133″ (sic).” 

Many social media users slammed the actress over her tweet for being so insensitive towards the harm that will be caused by the locusts attack. After receiving backlash on social media, Zaira deleted her Twitter and Instagram account.

The actress was last seen in the film The Sky Is Pink with Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar, Rohit Saraf. However, before the release of the film, Zaira had announced her Exit from films.
