The ongoing track of Harshad Chopda–Pranali Rathod starrer Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai witnessed Akshara preparing Abhimanyu for surgery. She tells him that she will meet Kairav if he calls her but just to bring him back. Akshu promises that she will wait at the same spot for him after his surgery. As Abhimanyu goes inside the operation theatre, whole family prays for him. Akshara then sees Dr. Kunal outside the hospital and wonders why he is not in OT for Abhi’s surgery. She goes down and asks him to go to the OT for Abhi’s surgery but he refuses.
Kunal tells Akshara that he has a major problem, but she tells him that they can talk about it later and that he should go for Abhi’s surgery. Kunal, on the other hand, continues to ignore Akshara’s plea and tells her that he will not go unless and until she listens to him.
Khera reveals his past how he performed his sister Maaya’s throat surgery but failed because of which Maaya lost her voice. Maya wants to become singer but after losing her voice she tried to commit suicide. Akshara asks Kunal what he wants and he puts a condition in front of her saying in return of Abhi’s surgery she have to become Maya’s voice and give her life to his sister.
Hearing this, Akshara gets angry and gives him a befitting reply. She later tells him that she will talk to Abhi and decide but Kunal tells her that she can’t reveal it to anyone and needs to accompany her right after the surgery.

In the forthcoming episodes, Akshara will leave Abhimanyu leaving his heartbroken. The show will take a one year leap and Abhimanyu and Akshara will come face-to-face after separation.
As per TellyChakkar, after the leap of one year Harshvardhan and Manjari reunite because of their love towards Abhimanyu but sadly Manjari will hate Akshara for ruining Abhimanyu’s life.
