Sidharth Shukla is an popular Indian television & film actor, model and host. The actor is best known for portraying the role of ‘Shiv‘ in Colors TV popular show Balika Vadhu & ‘Parth‘ in Dil Se Dil Tak. Sidharth has been a winner of India’s biggest reality show Bigg Boss 13 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7. He has also hosted shows like Savdhaan India & India’s Got Talent season 6, 7.
Sidharth’s Birth place and Education
He was born on 12 December 1980, in Bombay, Maharashtra. His hometown is Allahabad (Prayagraj), UP. Sidharth‘s father Ashok Shukla a civil engineer employed at the Reserve Bank of India and his mother Rita Shukla, a homemaker. He lost his father because of a lung disorder during his modelling days. Sidharth has two elder sisters. He did his schooling from St. Xavier’s High School, Fort, Mumbai and holds a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design. The actor had always been good at sports. He participated in many sports events and represented his school in tennis and football.

Sidharth is single and not dating anyone. However, the actor has been linked to many co-actresses and TV serial stars. The rumors of him dating his co-stars are always in news. Sidharth was rumoured to be dating actress Drashti Dhami a few years ago. He was also linked to Smita Bansal, who played the role of his mother-in-law in Tv show Balika Vadhu. Sidharth was also rumoured to be dating actress Rashami Desai & Shefali Jariwala. Other than this, the actor was also linked to Arti Singh and Akanksha Puri. Currently, the actor is linked to his BB 13 co-contestant Shehnaaz Gill. However, both has always maintained that they are good friends.
Sidharth Shukla’s Career and Achievements
Sidharth had worked in an interior designing company for a couple of years after completing bachelor’s degree in interior design. He was runner-up in the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest (2004). In 2005, Sidharth has represented India at the World’s Best Model contest held in Turkey, and became the first Indian, as well as the first Asian, to win the title beating 40 contestants from across Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
Sidharth‘s TV Debut
Sidharth’s acting career began with the popular Sony TV show “Babul Ka Angana Chootey Na” in 2008. He was seen playing the role of Shubh Ranwat. The actor was part of many TV shows like Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi on Star One opposite Sanjeeda Sheikh, Love U Zindagi and more. He also appeared in a few episodes of Aahat and CID.
Sidharth rose to fame with his role of District Collector Shivraj Shekhar from COLORS TV popular show Balika Vadhu in 2012. He received lot of popularity with his role including several awards and nominations. Later, he made his reality shows debut by appearing on Colors TV show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6.
Film Debut
In 2014, he made his Bollywood debut with Filmmaker Karan Johar‘s film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania starring Varun Dhawan & Alia Bhatt. The film earned him an award for “Breakthrough Supporting Performance (Male)” in the 2015 Stardust Awards.
He turned host of popular TV shows like Savdhaan India & India’s Got Talent season 6, 7. In 2016, Sidharth Shukla won the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7. Later in 2016, he appeared as Mr. Chakraborty, an Indian businessman, in a Kazakhstan movie, Business in Kazakhstan. In 2017, Sidharth appeared in COLORS TV show Dil Se Dil Tak where he played the role of Parth Bhanushali. He was seen opposite Rashami Desai and Jasmin Bhasin.
In 2019, Sidharth participated in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 13, and emerged out as the winner of the show in February 2020. He was rated as the most popular contestant of Bigg Boss 13 by Ormax media. Sid ranked as number one throughout 20 weeks. He was the most tweeted contestant of Bigg Boss 13.
In 2020, Sidharth appeared in three music videos, ‘Bhula Dunga‘ & ‘Shona Shona‘ opposite Shehnaaz Gill, and ‘Dil Ko Karaar Aaya‘ opposite Bollywood actress Neha Sharma. He also entered as one of the “Toofani” Seniors in Bigg Boss 14 house in 2020 along with Hina Khan and Gauahar Khanfor the first two weeks. In January 2021, Sidharth also hosted one of the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 14 in host Salman Khan‘s absence.
OTT Debut
In 2021, Sidharth Shukla will be seen making his OTT debut with Ekta Kapoor‘s AltBalaji‘s web series Broken But Beautiful 3 co-starring Sonia Rathee. The series is scheduled for release in April 2021 on ZEE5 and ALTBalaji.
