Sidharth Shukla CONGRATULATES Paralympics gold medalists Sumit Antil and Avani Lekhara; “Indians making us proud over and over again”

Indian athletes are making the country proud at the ongoing Paralympics. Indian para athletes like Bhavinaben Patel, Devendra Jhajharia and Vinod Kumar have won silver medals at the games. Now, shooter Avani Lekhara got the 1st gold medal for India at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. She topped in 10m Air Rifle SH1. Avani became India’s first woman to win a gold at the games. Not only this, Sumit Antil won Gold Medal in the Men’s Javelin Throw F64 event with a world record throw of 68.55 Metres.

ITV star Sidharth Shukla took to social media to congratulate them on achieving this feat. He wrote, “Indians making us proud over and over again… a World Record in addition to the #Gold in #Paralympics … congratulations #SumitAntil and #AvaniLekhara.”

Actress-singer Shehnaaz Gill also congratulated Avani Lekhara on becoming first Indian woman to win a gold medal at Paralympics. Sharing a photo of the shooter, she tweeted, “And #AvaniLekhara creates history!!! The first ever woman from India to win a #paralympics to win a gold in women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1 final! #shootingParaSport #Tokyo2020.”

In another tweet, she wrote, “Yet another #Gold for India! Heartiest congratulations #SumitAntil on the record-breaking throw Raising hands we are so proud of you. #ParalympicsTokyo2020 #Tokyo2020 #Gold.”
