Shamita Shetty opens up on Tejasswi Prakash’s ‘aunty’ remark; “It is just her thinking and that reflected”

Bigg Boss 15 is finally over and Tejasswi Prakash emerged as the winner of this season. Tejasswi’s win has garnered mixed reactions from viewers because many felt that Pratik Sehajpal should have won the show while some felt Karan Kundrra was deserving contestant to win trophy. Amid all this, the topic which created stir on social media recently was Tejasswi Prakash’s ‘Aunty’ remark for Shamita Shetty.

During a task, Tejasswi Prakash called Shamita Shetty ‘Aunty’ which didn’t go well with the Mohabbatein

actress and she slammed her for age-shaming her. Many celebs like Bipasha Basu, Shilpa Shetty, Kamya Punjabi, VJ Andy among others criticized Tejasswi for age-shaming Shamita. While Tejasswi seemed to have given her clarification on the same, Shamita now opened up on Tejasswi’s ‘Aunty’ remark.

In an interaction with India Forums, Tejasswi said, “I feel there is no real clarifying she can do. It is just her thinking and that reflected. When you talk about women empowerment and all that she supposedly stands for, you cannot make such loose statements that contradict your own take.”

The actress added, “I believe when you are in tough situations, you discover yourself and your true colors come out. Whenever there was a task, her true colors came out. Hence, in this situation I would say that she said what she said and she meant it. She can say whatever she wants to now but words once spoken cannot be taken back.”
