Doordarshan is all set to re-telecast Nitish Bharadwaj‘s mythological show Vishnupuran. Due to coronavirus pandemic entire nation has been lockdown. Everyone is at house arrest, film and TV shoots are on halt. The channels are trying their best to entertain the audiences amid Lockdown. The makers of the show has decided to Re-run their popular old show.
Firstly, Doordarshan has re-telecasts Ramandand Sagar‘s mythological show Ramayan and BR chopra‘s Mahabharat. The Re-run of the show grabbed lot of attention from the viewers and Topped the TRP charts. After Ramayan, Doordarshan bring back several popular TV shows such as Shaktimaan, Shriman Shrimati, Chanakya and so on.
Now, as the lockdown has been extended again, The channel has announced the come back of one more popular mythological show.
Taking to its official Twitter handle, DD National made the announcement of to Re-run Vishnupuran. The show will be telecast on the TV channel from tonight itself. The official handle of channel posted a picture of Lord Vishnu and tweeted in Hindi which reads, ‘See Chakradhar, the story of the incarnations and glory of Lord Vishnu “Vishnu Purana” tonight at 7 pm only on DD Bharati.’

The show originally aired in the year 2000 saw Nitish Bharadwaj in the role of Vishnu and actress Vaidehi Amrute in the role of Lakshmi. Produced by B. R. Chopra and directed and created by Ravi Chopra, it originally aired on Zee TV.
