Star Plus popular show Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali, produced by SOL Productions and Sandiip Films, is one of the most loved show on television. The show is based on Star Maa’s Telugu series Gorintaku. It stars Shivangi Khedkar and Sai Ketan Rao, who is playing the role of Pallavi and Raghav in the show. Fans are in love with their on screen chemistry and fondly calls them #RaghVi.
While the show enjoys a strong online presence, it continues to climb up and sore higher in terms of numbers. In an interaction with India Forums, Shivangi Khedkar shared her views regarding TRPs and mentioned how they work towards it, but only to improve the storyline and not as a competition.
The actress said, “Since I am new, I am not much of a person about TRPs being a certain way, but let’s face it, it is a TV show, and the channel, the producers, do want TRP numbers. We do have this thing in our head that we need good numbers but not as a competition. We look at it as maybe what we did in the last episode, last week and people are not liking it that much and they are changing the channel, so we need to buckle up.”
Shivangi added, “More than the competition, it is like we need to improve the story, acting, and execution. My concentration is on how well and better do I serve people. TRPs are not a bad thing because you get to know the response and when people are changing the channel, but if you don’t want that, you, of course, work hard and we are trying our best.”
The show also stars Ashok Phal Dessai, Sameer Deshpande, Asmita Ajgaonkar, Snehal Reddy, Priyanka Dhavale, Rutuja Sawant, Karan Manocha among others.
