Sony TV popular quizzed based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 lands in legal trouble as an FIR lodged against the makers of the show and Host Amitabh Bachchan.
The 12th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) went on air on September 29 and the show is entertaining viewers with every episode and providing knowledge. However, many times there have been issues raised over the questions that have been asked on the show. And, now something similar happened over the weekend when a question asked, that hurts religious sentiments.
In one of the Karamveer episodes of KBC 12, a question had asked related to Manusmirti. The particular episode featured social activist Bezwada Wilson along with popular actor Anoop Soni as a guest. The question was for Rs 6,40,000.
The question read: On 25 December 1927, Dr. BR Ambedkar and his followers burned copies of which scripture? The options given were, a) Vishnu Purana, b) Bhagavad Gita, c) Rigdev, and d) Manusmriti. Big B also went on to explain Dr. Ambedkar burning those scriptures and it has not gone down well with a certain section of people as it has hurt Hindu sentiments. This has created lot of rage among people for hurting religious sentiments as a result of which an FIR has been lodged again KBC’s host and makers of the show.
As per latest media reports, an FIR has been filed against Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan along with the makers of Kaun Banega Crorepati 12.
