Jazzy B AKA Jaswinder Singh Bains better known by his stage name Jazzy B is an Indian punjabi playback singer, songwriter and actor. He is well known for his religious songs as well as his hip hop numbers.
Personal Life
He was born in Nawanshahr, Punjab, India on April 1, 1975. When he was 5 years old, his family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is married to Hardeep Kaur and they have two children. Now he resides in Surrey, Canada. He has many siblings : Roma, Rimpy Bains, Gaba Bains, Goma, and Jujhar Singh Kandola.
Career
Jazzy B started his career with his signature style of Punjabi music mixed with elements of western hip hop. He released his debut album titled Ghugian Da Jorra in 1993. The album contained 8 tracks and was released under Moviebox (UK), Kiss Records, and SuperTone Melodies in different countries. Since then, he has released 12 more studio albums. He received 12 PTV Punjabi Music Awards and Six Brit Asia TV Music Awards between 2011 and 2017.
Work
He released his first album in 1993 Gugiyan da Jora. The rhythm was played by Sukhshinder Shinda who suggested him to move to the England. If he wanted to make a prominent career in Punjabi music Industry. Jazzy B has worked with many top music artists worldwide. He worked with Sukshinder Shinda, Aman Hayer, Kuldip Manak, Babbu Maan, Snoop Dogg, and Mr. Capone-E. He has established himself as the Crown Prince of Bhangra.
He is best known for his song Dil Luteya with Apache Indian from his album Romeo. The song was a biggest hit. In 2008 Actress Esha Gupta featured in his song Glassy from album Rambo. Actoress Surveen Chawla has also worked with him and firstly appeared in his song Naag 2 in 2010 and then in Mitran De Boot in 2014. Jazzy B has worked with international rapper Snoop Dogg in song Most Wanted which is featured on MTV India. His old song Sat Rangey played in the background of Hollywood movie Deadpool in 2016.
Bigg Boss Season 10 contestant Lopamudra Raut also worked with him, she was featured in his song Crazy Ya from album Folk ‘N’ Funky 2. In 2019, he has sung a song named Ajj Singh Garjega for Akshay Kumar‘s movie Kesari.
Film Career
Jazzy B made his film debut in 2000 from movie Shaheed Udham Singh. He appeared in Sunny Deol‘s movie Teesri Aankh: The Hidden Camera with Bollywood actress Amisha Patel in song Chug De Punjabi.
In 2012 he made a film as an actor in Jalandhar, Punjab with Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal. He also made a special appearance in Diljit Dosanjh‘s film Jatt & Juliet 2 in 2013. Jazzy B also appeared in a movie Romeo Ranjha.
