Televisions popular actor Gurmeet Chaudhary spoke about his Mythological show Ramayan. Recently, In a conversation with a leading entertainment portal Gurmeet revealed that people used to touch his and Debina Bonnerjee‘s feet thinking that they are really Ram and Sita.

In an recent interview with SpotboyE.com, Gurmeet opened up about the show. The actor reveals that people used to think that they are Lord Ram and Sita and they touches their feet that time. Gurmeet Choudhary quoted saying, “Ramayan became a hit over night. The show made us so popular, that people actually felt that we are Ram and Sita. They used to touch our feet and at that time, we were really young- around, 21-22.”
Gurmeet also revealed how he used to worried that after the show, he will get typecast. The actor told the portal, “I remember at that time whoever had done mythological shows had got typecast. It was not the audience but the industry used to typecast. So, before signing it, I had this thought in my mind that if I do a costume drama. Then I may also get typecast. For me breaking that image was really important and I constantly thought what should I do after Ramayan.”
Speaking about changing the image of his character after Ramayan, Gurmeet told SpotboyE.com. “So, while I was giving auditions for shows, Debina and I signed a reality show, titled Pati Patni Aur Woh. And I think that was for the first time when people saw us dancing in jeans and T-shirt.”
