Actress Mitaali Nag, who grabbed lot of attention with her portrayal of Devyani in Star plus show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, was recently in news for quitting the show. She had decided to quit the show owing to creative differences with the makers. Reportedly, the actress was not happy with her track and hence she decided to exit the show. However, Mitaali has now resolved her differences with the makers and will not quit the show.
In a recent interaction with The Times Of India, Mitaali spoke about it and said, “When I decided to quit the show, it wasn’t an easy decision. I felt that all the aspects of the character and the track were explored. That’s the reason I decided to let go of Devyani and the show. To be honest, it was one of the toughest decisions I have taken so far. My last day of the shoot was on July 12 and I put in my papers at the end of last month.”
The actress further said that constant messages by the followers of the show also prompted her to reconsider her decision of quitting the show. She quoted saying, “The makers didn’t accept my resignation, as they valued our association. That’s another reason I wasn’t talking about it in the media. I would give maximum credit to the audience of the show as they were a constant source of positivity. The love they showered on me on different platforms of social media made me reconsider my decision. They told me how important it is for them that Devyani didn’t leave the show. The makers were kind enough to give me the reassurance that as an actor, I was needed. So, I decided to continue on the show. I will start shooting again by the end of this month.”
Talking about if her issues have now been resolved and the actress replied, “All I would say is that whatever inhibitions I had regarding my track, have been taken care of. I am happy to be back on the show.”
GHKKPM is a remake of Star Jalsha’s Bengali series Kusum Dola. The show stars Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh, Aishwarya Sharma, Kishori Shahane, Adish Vaidya, Bharti Patil, Sheetal Maulik, Yash Pandit in key roles among others. The show is one of the most adored show on television and keeps topping TRPs charts.
