Sumbul Touqeer Khan is one of the most talked about contestant of Salman Khan‘s reality show Bigg Boss 16. She enjoys immense popularity on social media and getting lot of support from viewers. Sumbul has been in the news since start for her closeness with co-contestant with Shalin Bhanot, which didn’t liked by viewers and they criticized the actress many times. And now, on today’s weekend ka vaar, Salman Khan once again seen highlighting this topic and said that Sumbul is obsessed with Shalin Bhanot. Tina, Nimrit agreed to this and Sajid said she has a fondness towards Shalin, however, Sumbul denied having any feelings for Shalin.
In an interaction with ETimes TV, Sumbul Touqeer Khan’s friend Debattama Saha spoke about Salman criticizing Sumbul’s obsession with Shalin. Reacting to the same, Debattama said, “Sumbul is like my younger sister. We connected well on the sets of Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein. Sumbul is a very bindaas, jhalli kisam ki fun-loving girl and ‘being possessive’ is not in her nature. I haven’t watched the last few episodes, but I do watch BB 16 for Sumbul.”
Talking about how things are different than what it seems, the Mithai actress said, “Sitting outside, we may have different views on Shalin Bhanot. But, inside the house it is possible that Sumbul feels the need to trust him and no one else and that’s why it appears that she is obsessed with him. In real life, Sumbul is a very different girl and I sometimes feel she is not like this. She is very fun-loving and an independent girl who does not need to cling or depend on anyone for friendship. So, I am also not able to understand, I am sure she has her reasons.”

Many people felt Sumbul should not have participated in the reality show so early in her career. Speaking about it, Debattama said, “If Sumbul has chosen to participate in BB16 at such an early point in her career, then I am no one to judge because it is her decision. If she felt it was the right thing, then it must be. I just wish her well and always want her to do well, whether it is in the house or not.”
