Bigg Boss 15 contestant Umar Riaz, who recently got evicted from the show, has been making lot of headlines nowadays. The model/doctor has been quite vocal about his journey on the reality show & his eviction, which he termed as ‘unfair’. Now, in an interview, Umar opened up about the untimely demise of Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla and how his death affected his brother Asim Riaz.
Umar revealed that after Asim learned about Sidharth Shukla’s death he felt ‘very low and cried a lot’. While speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Umar said, “It was like a shock when I heard and called up Asim. He was very low, about to cry. He actually cried a lot. Whatever happened on the show, they had a close bond. Somehow they couldn’t connect outside. However, I am sure both wanted to connect back given the bond they had. It was really devastating news for us. And soon as Asim heard about it, he rushed to the hospital to be with his family and show his affection.”
For the unversed, Asim was reportedly the first person to arrive at Sidharth Shukla’s funeral, which was held last year. He was spotted at the Oshiwara crematorium in a heartbreaking state. Sidharth Shukla breathed his last on September 2, 2021. He passed away due to a heart attack at his Mumbai home.
