Star Plus show Anupamaa is one of the most loved serials on television and is number one on the TRP charts. The show stars Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma and Gaurav Khanna in pivotal roles. A few months back, Gaurav Khanna has entered the show as Business man Anuj Kapadia. He is playing Rupali Aka Anupama’s love interest in the show. Fans are liking his character and his onscreen chemistry with Rupali.
As per TellyChakkar reports, before Gaurav Khanna was signed as Anuj, the role was offered to many actors who refused it. Have a look at the list below:
Gurmeet Choudhary
Gurmeet is one of the most popular face of television & film industry. He best known for his performance in serials like Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi, Punar Vivaah Zindagi Milegi Dobara and Ramayan among others. As per TellyChakkar reports, Gurmeet offered the role to play of Anuj but he declined it as he couldn’t connect to the character, and presently, he wants to focus on his movie career.
Arhaan Behll
Arhaan rose to fame with his portrayal of Krishna in popular ITV show Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya. Reportedly, the actor offered Anuj’s role but he denied to play as he’s was busy in some other project.
Karan Patel
Karan is a popular face of ITV industry. He best known for his performance in Star Plus show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Reportedly, he declined the role of Anuj owing to personal commitments.
Gautam Gulati
Gautam rose to fame with his stint in Bigg Boss 8 where he emerged as the winner of the show. The handsome hunk was last seen in the Bollywood movie Radhe alongside Salman Khan. He refused the role of Anuj as he wants to focus on his Bollywood career and doesn’t intend to return to television anytime soon.
Lastly, the role bagged by Gaurav Khanna, and fans are in love with his character. Viewers feels Gaurav is best choice for the role & no one could do justice to Anuj the way he did.
Anupamaa, produced by Rajan Shahi and his mother Deepa Shahi under their banner Shahi Productions Pvt Ltd. The show is based on Star Jalsha’s Bengali series Sreemoyee. There’s also a Marathi version of the show which runs on Star Pravah titled Aai Kuthe Kai Karte. The show also stars actors like Alpana Buch, Arvind Vaidya, Paras Kalnawat, Aashish Mehrotra, Muskan Bamne, Shekhar Shukla, Nidhi Shah, Anagha Bhosale and Tassnim Sheikh.
