Popular ITV pair Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi, who has won millions of hearts with their portrayal of Kartik and Naira in star plus most popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, will likely to exit the show soon.
The famous TV jodi will not be part of the show in the near future. As per reports in SpotboyE, Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi will make an exit from the show in October and new faces will be introduced. A source told the portal, “Shivangi and Mohsin will be making an exit from the show by October first week and new actors will join in. The makers have already done a lot of experiments with their characters and now, want to start a new storyline. Hence, the decision has been made.”
Both the actors has joined the show in 2016 and gained immense popularity. Their sizzling chemistry made them one of the most adored television couples. And now, their journey of five-and-a-half years will come to an end. The show has witnessed many twists and turns and generations leap. The show was started in 2009 and it will continue to air with a new storyline.
As per earlier reports of the Times of India, Mohsin wanted to quit the show as a generation leap has been planned and he was not willing to play the role of an elderly parent. A source revealed to the portal, “Yes Mohsin is planning to move on. Since the show is going in for a generation leap, he wouldn’t want to play an older character. So he decided to take a short break. Along with television, he would now want to try out different mediums like OTT and movies.”
